ESB 3 will face Pioneers 2 in the final of the Division 2 cup next week, after winning 7-3 against Leixlip in the semi final.
There was disappointment though for the other ESB teams, with ESB 1 losing 7-1 to Alsaa in Premier, ESB 2 losing 7-5 to Terenure 2 in Division 1, and ESB 4 losing 7-3 to St Pauls 3 in Division 6.
Best of luck to Aidan, Nigel and Jimmy in the cup final.
Update: ESB 3 had a very close match against Pioneers 2 in the final, but narrowly lost out 7-6. They were 6-3 down after the singles, but managed to win the next 3 doubles match to level the score, before eventually losing the deciding doubles.

The 2012 World Team Table tennis Championships are taking place in Dortmund Germany starting on the 25th March and going through until Sunday 1st April.
The highlights from Dortmund will be broadcast on British Eurosport on the following days:

The Annual Leinster League v Belfast League match takes place in Sportsco this Saturday at 2pm.
The match features 3 teams made up of some of the top players from each league.

The Leinster League Cup Draws have been made and you can view all the draws here: View Cup Competition Draws
In the Premier Cup, ESB 1 have a bye into the semi final, where they will play at home to either Alsaa 1 or Balgriffin 1.
In Division 1, ESB 2 will play at home to Leixlip 3. If they win, they will have a home match against either Balgriffin 2 or Terenure 2.
In Division 2, ESB 3 also have a bye, and will play at home to either Leixlip 4 or Balgriffin 3 in the semi final.
In Division 6, ESB 4 will play St Pauls 3 away in the first round, with a potential home match against either Leixlip 9 or Dunboyne 1 in the semi final.
The first round matches are due to be played the week commencing Monday 19th March, with the semi finals, the week after.

With the end of the league season fast approaching, the Leinster League presentation night has been confirmed for Saturday 21st April, at Home Farm Football Club, Whitehall, from 8pm – 1am. Tickets for the event will be €12 per person.
Finger food will be served at 8.30pm, followed by the presentation of awards for Shield, League and Cup competitions. A raffle will also take place on the night.

Athy Table Tennis club is holding their annual tournament on March 10th, 2012.
The competition takes place at the Athy Church of Ireland Centre, Offaly Street, Athy, Co. Kildare.
The competition includes both singles, doubles and banded events.

This is not an Open event, so entrants must either be Irish, or have proof of residence for over 6 years.
The competition takes place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March, in Alsaa.
