Events
The following looks at the different type of events that our members are involved in throughout the year.
Club Training
The club plays twice a week throughout the whole year, on Monday and Wednesday evenings. In addition to this, club members can also pay Sportsco for the use of the sports hall, whenever the hall is free. During the season, many players also arrange to play on weekends.
Leinster League
The club takes part in the Leinster League which consists of 3 separate competitions as follows:
- Shield competition runs from October to the middle of December for 6 weeks
- League competition runs from January to the middle of March for 10 weeks
- Cup competition runs from the end of March for 3 weeks
The club enters between 4-6 teams in the Leinster League each year. Each team consists of at least 3 players, and selected in September. League matches take place on weeknights, and start at around 7.30pm, and typically run until about 11pm. ESB Sportsco play their home matches on Monday evening.
Ranking Events
There are various ITTA organised events that our club members take part in. These are various different junior, senior and veterans ranking events that take place all over the country throughout the year. Details of these events, along with entry forms are published on the ITTA website. Club members have also participated in international events abroad.
Summer League
Each year, the club runs an open event known as Summer League, which typically runs during the month of May (and yes, we know it’s technically Summer). The event runs for 4 weeks on Mondays nights and normally has about 50 players taking part across 3 divisions.
